At least two sources close to the head of government, Clara Brugada, told LPO that the former mayor seeks to remove Héctor Díaz-Polanco from the local structure and is already analyzing a series of names to lead the 'morada' party for the 2027 elections. The young leader from Coyoacán is close to the last president of Morena, Sebastián Ramírez, so he could have the knowledge to take on the task. Over a year after achieving the capital's presidency, this unity seems to be cracking. He is a man who has his own structure in various municipalities and knows the electoral machinery of CDMX. The first of them is Gerardo Trejo, who was elected secretary of organization of Morena, but in recent months has requested a leave of absence to carry out tasks at the national level in coordination with Andy López Beltrán. In addition, he has one of the most active voices in the Legislative Power, in the media, and in discussions with the opposition, especially with the PAN. Esthela Damián is considering requesting a leave of absence to go to Guerrero and Luisa María could succeed her. At the same time, the same sources agree that the head of government, Clara Brugada, would seek to make these changes with a certain speed to begin working on the electoral operation for 2027 without major delays. Amid the pressures arising from the possible departure of Luisa María Alcalde from the federal presidency, movements are also occurring in Mexico City. Because of this, Brugada would be determined to modify the presidency of the local committee of the 'morada' party. Likewise, the same sources anticipate that the head of government is already analyzing a series of names to promote a possible change in the party presidency.
